GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance is optional coverage that protects you if your car is totaled before you've paid off your loan.

## The GAP Problem & Solution
When you finance a vehicle, it loses value (depreciation) the moment you drive it off the lot. If you get in an accident and the car is totaled early in your loan, your insurance payout might be less than what you still owe. GAP coverage bridges that gap, protecting you from being "upside down" on your loan.

## Who Benefits Most?
GAP is most valuable if you're putting down a small down payment, financing for 6+ years, or buying a model that depreciates quickly. If you put 20% down and finance for 3-4 years, GAP is less critical-but it's worth discussing.

## Other Protection Products
Extended warranties, tire/wheel coverage, and paint protection plans are available too. Each adds a small cost to your payment but can reduce unexpected repair bills later.
