Winter driving demands extra care. A few smart preparations now prevent breakdowns and accidents when temperatures drop.

**Tires:** Winter tires grip snow and ice far better than all-season tires, especially below 45F. If you drive in heavy snow regularly, they're worth the investment. At minimum, check tire tread depth (at least 6/32 inch) and pressure-cold shrinks tire air, reducing grip and fuel economy.

**Fluids:** Confirm your engine oil grade is appropriate for your climate (check your manual). Ensure coolant is rated for sub-zero temps. Top off windshield washer fluid with a winter-grade blend. Check battery health; cold saps battery power, so a weak battery fails in winter.

**Other essentials:** Inspect wiper blades and replace if streaking. Test your heating and defroster. Check brakes for responsiveness. Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle: jumper cables, blanket, flashlight, jumper pack, and sand or kitty litter for traction.

**Our Service team can help.** We offer winter tire storage, fluid checks, and winterization packages to get you road-ready and safe.
